Classic Microsynth (trapezoid chassis) Classic Bass Microsynth (trapezoid chassis). The next four controls of the BASS MICRO SYNTH comprise the VOICE MIXING section : GUITAR, SUB -OCTAVE (one octave below), OCTAVE (one octave above), and SQUARE WAVE. UralTone Virranjakokaapeli (daisy chain) 1 -> 10. The Micro Synth must have its own power supply. Oh, and if you're experiencing volume loss be sure to check the screw on the bottom. In ad dition, do not use a daisy chained supply with the M icro Synth. In fact, when I engage it it actually cuts the hiss from my Muff. Mine is as quiet as a mouse when its not on. I think from '05 on they are all made with True Bypass. I no longer have room for anything on my board. Anyway, I'm revamping my board to make it fit in between typing, so I'll try it in a couple spots and see how it fits. He added that I may hear a little difference between direct and with the pedal in line since it's still running through the circuit, but as I understand that means it's NOT true bypass. The strat into bassman still sounded a lot like a strat into a bassman when it was bypassed, but this could still be the old "Sure EHX are all TB" line, when they really aren't. The sales guy told me that the newer versions are supposedly TB'd, for the last few years. I do also recognize and understand the convenience and value a multieffects pedal could have, but that kinda depends on what music you're playing, how often you're playing out, budget, the other components in your rig, etc.Just took the plunge. The ones i have played seemed to have more sounds that I would not use than ones that I would actually use, but some have a lot of room to tweak and mess around with and I didn't wanna spend that much time doing that when I was in a store or borrowing one from a friend to test out. perhaps the adapter you had used the incorrect polarity. as for the 9v adapter thing, um, i use mine on a daisy chain all the time. I think stompboxes are just way more interesting, fun, and have sounded better in my experience, though I've also never tried any of the Boss multi effects pedals. The rubber foot on the pedal that touches a button on the circuit board can easily come off, making the button out of reach for the pedal, so i just super glued the rubber foot on. I personally stay away from multi effects pedals. I'd like to get the Bass microsynth some day, but it is of low priority cuz I own enough effects and I'm content with my pedalboard with the types of music that I play. I also believe that ya can't go wrong with any of the Electro Harmonix pedals, I own the bass big muff and the octave multiplexer, which I am very happy with them. When I played the bass microsynth i was able to get an awesome thick synthy fuzz out of it that sounded friggin killer.

For example, with my pedal rig I can get similar synthesizer sounds, but I have to turn 3 or 4 of my pedals on at the same time. Basically it is a combination of several effect sounds - octave, distortion, wah and do all the variations/combinations of those sounds - which is and can be pretty useful for a bass player. It is a pretty awesome pedal in my opinion. I don't own the EHX Bass Microsynth, but I have played it.

I am a bass player who owns/uses a fair bunch of effect pedals.
